Sarah Dillard was a dominant force for the Episcopal track and field team, setting multiple School and league records in the shot put and discus. As a freshman, she set the School’s freshman shot put record and placed second at the ISL championships. During her sophomore year, she won the VISAA indoor shot put title, swept both throwing events at the ISL championships, and set sophomore records in both disciplines.

As a junior, Sarah swept the shot put and discus at the ISL championships, setting meet records in both events, and presently holds the shot put ISL championship meet record. Her senior season was historic: she went undefeated indoors in the shot put, capturing the VISAA indoor state title, and went undefeated outdoors in the discus. She swept both events at the ISL and VISAA state championships, earning Co-Athlete of the Meet honors and setting a state meet record in the discus. For her achievements, she was named to the Washington Post All-Met First Team.

Beyond track, Sarah was a standout volleyball player, earning Most Improved Player during the team’s 2008 ISL A Division championship season and serving as team captain in 2009.

She went on to compete for Boston University, where she placed sixth in the league shot put as a freshman and fifth in the weight throw at the America East conference championships as a sophomore. By her senior year, she secured first place in four different collegiate competitions across both the discus and weight throw.
