Biography:
Natalie studied psychology at Columbia before earning her graduate degree in counseling psychology from Northwestern. Her clinical experiences working with young people in academic settings inspired her to move into teaching, and she began her teaching career at North Cross School in Roanoke, Va., where she taught courses in math and psychology and advised the yearbook. Her first experience with boarding schools was at Western Reserve Academy in Hudson, Ohio, where she taught psychology and served as director of learning support, yearbook adviser, and dorm parent along the way.
Natalie joined the Episcopal faculty in the fall of 2016, excited to continue the immersive work of teaching and living in a boarding school community. She is currently a member of both the math and science departments, teaching geometry and psychology, respectively. She advises the Whispers yearbook during three seasons of afternoon options and lives on dorm with her family. In her spare time, she crafts, sees concerts, and takes advantage of the area's restaurant scene.
